Hi Dad,

Throughout my 7+ year Dadhood Journey, I've fumbled my way through the daily wins and losses that all of us parents go through as we're learning the ropes. I've gotten better and better as a father as I go, but one thing I wish I'd had as a dad, was a community of men that was going through the same stuff I was. I wanted a group of dads to get new ideas from, to learn from and to be supported by.

Fatherhood is TOUGH! And if you're like me, you tend to isolate and go it alone.

In my professional life, I work with new families all day long - mostly moms and babies though. I hear the new parenting experience from the women's side and occasionally, a dad comes to the appointment and I recognize the "deer in the headlights" look from them seemingly saying "WTF is happening here?!?!"

We dads are floundering. We're wanting to be a good dad, be an awesome husband, all the while providing for our families and still have some time and energy to do the things we used to enjoy before becoming a dad. It's hard.

And you're not alone in this.

This is why I've created this podcast. To share info that's helped me in navigating my own Dadhood Journey so that, hopefully, it helps you too.

I will be the first to admit that I do NOT have this fatherhood thing "figured out". These episodes are by no means "how to" tutorials on parenting.

They are simply short segments about a parenting experience I've had myself or about something that I'm reading, studying and/or learning about parenthood that I think will help you be more present, more calm and more happy as a dad.

My intent in each episode is to share with you some value, some insight, some action step that will help you in your Dadhood Journey - for your kids, for your partner, for you.

I have created a "private" Facebook Group as well (Dads only), just for listeners of the show, where we can support each other along our way. Here is the link to join the FB Group, "The Dadhood Journey": https://www.facebook.com/groups/575396366165609 (it is in the podcast show notes for you as well) . Once approved, you can participate in a safe place where you can learn, share and grow as a father being supported by like-minded men that embody the same integrity and values as you do.

I look forward to you joining the Dadhood Journey movement so that we together can be stronger men and better dads so that we can raise strong, healthy children that grow up and go out to make a huge impact in the world.

Thank you,

Jay
